|Magical Meals: A Guide to Affordable Dining at Walt Disney World|
Over the past few days, I’ve been taking a look at the new e-book by Nancy Bobby, the founder of The Affordable Mouse. The title of the book is Magical Meals: A Guide to Affordable Dining at Walt Disney World. As all of us that have been to Disney World know, dining at the parks can run you a little bit of “dough” (I couldn’t resist!), so anytime a person undertakes a project to organize all of the information and present it to you in one concise volume, it gets a serious look from me!
The book is sixty pages long, so it isn’t a huge investment in time to read through it, and covers the following areas for anyone planning a trip to Disney World:
- Types of food options at Walt Disney World
- Disney Dining Plans and Discount Programs
- Getting the most value out of your meals
- What you need to know about Advanced Dining Reservations
- Food Allergies, Specialty Diets, and Vegetarian/Vegan Dining
- Planning Special Events
In each section, Nancy takes the time and effort to include the things that you need to know about dining at Walt Disney World. What sort of restaurant options do you have? How should you plan for a special dinner? What do you need to do in order to accomodate a person that has very specific food allergies? Those answers are all in the book, and while I would say that the information in the book is geared primarily for the guest that hasn’t encountered dining at Disney World before, there are certainly things that even the most seasoned Disney traveler will be able to find information about.
In addition to the detail that Nancy has included herself, she has also culled some tips from those that know the ins and outs of dining at the Parks the best: Guests like you and me! Throughout the book you will find helpful tips and advice from some of Nancy’s followers on Facebook, the Affordable Mouse website, and other locations to help give you a tip on what works and what doesn’t at the parks. That level of detail is just one of the reasons why this book is such a great value! Lastly, at the end of the book is an appendix of websites, Disney World telephone numbers, and even links to other guidebooks that you can go to for planning your Disney Vacation.
The cost of the book is $10.95, and is delivered electronically to you via an email that is sent to your email address when you purchase the book. For the cost of the book, just knowing that all of the things that you are looking for are all contained in one spot, without you having to search all over the Internet for the information yourself, really makes this book worth the cost to me. Additionally, any updates that Nancy makes to the book over the next year are covered with your purchase!
